Hi, I’m Amy,
I help talented creative people, like you, to be free from stress, anxiety, and depression; to reconnect you with your own unique gifts and talent so that you can change the world because you feel that good.
How do I do that? By combining the latest cutting-edge neuroscience and wacky modalities (that science now supports, although some are still convinced I wield Magic).
It is easy for you to rewire your brain, create a sense of safety from the inside out and heal your nervous system because life is supposed to be full of vitality and joy.
I’ve done this for over 30 years, for 1000’s of clients and I’d love to help you too.
Dr. Peter A. Levine is the founder of Somatic Experiencing® and my mentor.
In the (short) video below, he explains what happens when we get overwhelmed. He talks explains why somatic experiencing® is effective in helping overcome reactivity to stressful situations and even gives a helpful tool.

Illuminating. Great breakdown for a step by step path to greater mindfulness, and embracing curiosity / play! Thank you!
Exactly!! Curiosity is the secret antidote to stress and key in changing the neuropathways of the brain from what’s wrong thinking to what is right! Play and Enjoy the process, yes! 🙂
I sometimes have a hard time settling? I get caught in a loop and can’t pop out of it to settle, what do you suggest doing when that happens
When you find yourself caught in a mental loop, meaning you keep thinking that thought and it gets more persistent. First, realize that is what is happening then, simply ask your brain to PAUSE.
Which implies permission to continue the thought after trying the 5 steps outlined above.
Your brain is more willing to participate in these “exercises” of mindfulness when it has permission to continue its original looping. However, I’ve found with working with 100’s of people that the looping is greatly decreased because our nervous systems are wanting, implicitly to settle. Given the opportunity, your brain will choose the preferred state of calm (over time).
Thank you Amy. This is a new way for me to try to sabilise before I become completely stressed. I will definitely give your techniques a try before I become overwhelmed. I too get stuck in a loop of thinking and analysing problems that leads to my brain taking over. I often battle at night with this problem and suffer from bouts of sleeplessness. I love your technique of simply asking the brain to pause.
Excellent! Let me know if I can be of further assistance if questions arise etc. Be easy with yourself, just be curious. The attitude of “what might happen if I give this a try…..”
Hi!
I love the way you explain things in everyday language and keep it upbeat and as simply understood as possible-thanks!
